These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of MyLegalHelps (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
MyLegalHelps is a document preparation service only. We prepare and draft documents — we do not provide legal representation and we do not provide legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and MyLegalHelps, its owners, or any of its personnel.
U.S. matters only
MyLegalHelps only prepares documents for matters arising under U.S. federal law or the law of a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. We do not prepare documents for foreign courts or under foreign law.
Not legal advice
- The documents we prepare are general-purpose drafts based on information you provide and are not a substitute for legal advice from a licensed attorney.
- We do not evaluate whether filing is advisable in your specific circumstances, and we do not predict the outcome of any case.
- You remain responsible for ensuring any document is appropriate for your situation and for reviewing it before filing.
You file yourself
You are solely responsible for filing any document we prepare, paying required fees, attending hearings, meeting deadlines, and tracking your own case. MyLegalHelps does not file on your behalf with any court, USCIS, or government agency and does not represent you before any authority.
When an attorney is required
Some matters require a licensed attorney — for example, any criminal case, immigration removal defense before an immigration judge, child custody/abuse/neglect in family court, any civil matter in which a corporation or LLC is a party, guardianship or conservatorship, complex appellate matters, and emergency injunctive relief. MyLegalHelps may decline to prepare documents and may refer you to a licensed attorney in your state when appropriate.
Your responsibilities
- You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information for document preparation.
- You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to harass or defraud others, or to file documents that you know to be false or fraudulent.
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws, court rules, and agency rules when filing and pursuing your matter.
Fees and payments
Some document-preparation packages and add-on services are offered for a fee. Fees are presented to you before checkout and are processed through our payment provider. You are responsible for any fees charged by courts or agencies in connection with filing your documents, which are separate from any amounts paid to MyLegalHelps.
AI-generated content
Documents prepared through the Service are drafted using artificial intelligence. AI-generated drafts may contain errors, omissions, or outdated legal references. You must review every document carefully and verify all citations, deadlines, and court-specific formatting before filing. MyLegalHelps is not responsible for errors in documents that you file without review.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and the documents we prepare are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any document will be accepted by a court, agency, or third party, or that you will obtain any particular outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyLegalHelps and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service or the documents we prepare, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
