Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

MyLegalHelps (the "Service") is a U.S. document preparation platform that helps you prepare legal, immigration, insurance, and disability paperwork for you to file yourself. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name and email address when you create an account or are invited by an administrator.
  • Consultation information — the audio you record during your free voice consultation and the written transcripts the Service generates.
  • Case information — the details you provide about your matter, including the U.S. state, parties, facts, deadlines, and related context.
  • Documents you upload — opposing-party filings and your own supporting evidence that you attach for document preparation.
  • Payment information — order identifiers needed to process payments. Card details are handled by our payment provider (Wix Payments); MyLegalHelps does not store your full card number.

How we use your information

  • To prepare and deliver the documents you request.
  • To operate your account, send you service-related emails, and process payments.
  • To notify our administrators when payments are processed or supporting documents are uploaded.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and quality of the Service.

AI and document processing

To prepare your documents, MyLegalHelps uses AI models that read your consultation transcript, case details, and any documents you upload. Your information may be processed by third-party AI providers (such as language-model services) for the limited purpose of drafting your documents. Do not upload documents containing information you do not want processed for this purpose.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service — including AI providers, payment processors, cloud storage, and email delivery — each under contracts that require them to protect your information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MyLegalHelps or others.

Data retention

We retain your account and case information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account information at any time by contacting MyLegalHelps support.

Your rights and choices

  • You may review and update your account information through the Service.
  • Depending on your U.S. state of residence, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information under applicable state privacy law.
  • You may decline to provide information, though some features of the Service may then be unavailable.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's information

MyLegalHelps is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so it can be deleted.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
